Purpose and Scope: The Driver is responsible for the safe and proper loading, delivery and unloading of listed goods, with specific precautions and requirements for handling hazardous materials. The Driver is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Class A CDL required.
- Plans out and follows the most efficient routes for delivery of goods.
- Lays out (or loads) items for delivery in accordance with the delivery route.
- Obtains signatures and payments, or arranges for recipients to make payments.
- Performs routine maintenance on delivery vehicles, such as monitoring and replenishing fluids.
- Leaves verbal messages via telephone.
- Maintains positive customer relations.
- Performs deliveries to and pick ups from area customers.
- Completes paperwork fully and completely, as required.
- Follows all company policies and procedures as listed, which are not limited to, warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000.
- Assists warehouse manager as time allows.
- All other duties as required.
Pay: $23 -$26/hr
