Purpose and Scope:
The Electrical Apprentice is responsible for supporting the building, testing and maintaining AC and DC power systems. They troubleshoot power plant, transformer and generator systems, diagnose customer alarms, remove and install various battery systems and utilize preventative maintenance skills. They regularly perform or assist in the performance of Electrician duties, continuing to gain practical experience and expanding their expertise enabling their advancement and further professional knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Assists electricians in daily assigned field work.
- Accepts instruction/training from supervisors.
- All other duties as required.
Skills / Other:
- Basic time management and organizational skills required.
- Schedule flexibility, with work dependent upon need, regardless of time of day or day of week.
- Detail-oriented.
- Hard working attitude.
- Regular attendance.
- Able to travel (locally - Socal).
Education/ Training:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- OSHA 10 certified
- Forklift certified.
- Knowledgeable of and properly trained in use of PPE
Experience:
- 1 Year of experience, preferred
Compensation: $28 to $32 /hr
