Premium Care Technician

The Premium Care Technician is responsible for the initial servicing of new clients, which establishes the standard for competent service and client expectations.   They test and clean company product and/or the related handling equipment involved with the start of an ongoing maintenance program, providing these services efficiently along with outstanding customer service.  They regularly communicate with customers and update appropriate company personnel with any issues or information.  They elicit positive interactions and information from onsite contacts while maintaining focus on the mission at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Represents the company in a neat and professional manner in accordance with company standards.
  • Practices safety and good housekeeping in all circumstances.
  • Conveys information to proper customer contacts.
  • Safely operates a service vehicle and keeps it in good working order. 
  • Operates a forklift truck and reach truck on a regular basis.
  • Recognizes and addresses safety and EPA issues.
  • Safely and correctly processes non-potable water recovered by the battery wash.
  • Tests for and analyzes results of acidity level of water (pH).
  • Performs voltage testing and pressure washing of battery.
  • Actively promotes point of sale items and allied products and services.
  • Communicates with Management and Sales regarding any unresolved customer issues.
  • Ensures work orders are filled out properly and in a timely manner. 
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Experience & Education/ Training:
  • High School graduate or equivalent, required.   2-year technical degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the internet.
  • Working knowledge of standard shop tools. 
  • Training in Spill Containment.
  • 1-3 Years of battery industry or related experience, preferably in a field service environment.
  • Clean and current Driver's license (MVR check) in the applying State.
  • Possess or obtain Commercial Driver's License with endorsement for hazardous materials.
  • Forklift Certified a plus.

Pay: $23 - $25/hr
